Notice Board
(August 9th 2010)
It's been a busy year and things are always changing. Some notables include the inclusion of Anglicare at St James. A couple of our upstair youth rooms have been offered to the organisation while they set up a permanent residence in the area. For more info on Anglicare and their missions visit: http://www.anglicare.asn.au/
Also this year we as a church have been taking a look at what it means to be church. This has included a series of meetings that spanned all ages groups and now will involve MAP meetings. This stands for Mission Action Plan. We hope to acknowledge we we're at and where we'd like to go as a family, being an engaging and active presence in the community! These meetings will come to a head with a plan of action by the end of the year.
(November 22nd 2009)
An Encompass Dinner was held on Monday 9th November 09. The theme was 'Fruit of the Spirit' (Galatians 5:22-23) with a close look at 'Kindness'. Also taking a look at Colossians 3:12-13, "Put on tender mercy and kindness as if they were your clothes."
Bill made 8 different varieties of pizza, including the dough. We played a crazy dress game as we "put on kindness". Stars were awarded for any act of kindness in word or deed.
